Here's just one of the 50 blocks in this quilt. They were all beautifully embroidered by my friend's aunt, who I assume was rather elderly when she did them. Think of all the time it took to do 50 of them! You can also see the flange I included in the binding. That was an inspiration offered by a friend of mine and I'm very grateful to her for this thought. I didn't get any pictures of the whole quilt before giving it to the ladies of my church for raffling some time in the future. I hope they make a lot of money on it. The quilting was again done by my good friend Rhonda. It's an all-over freehand feather pattern that is wonderful.Monday, May 16, 2011
