Quilts so far in 2016.
So far this year we have quilted almost 100 items and donated about 65. (We do quilt for customers too.) Here are a few examples from this year.

As you can see we do all sizes from doll quilts to baby/toddler to twins. Our aim is to comfort individuals. We also give to victims of fire or other tragedies. Some of our quilts go to Adoray Home Health & Hospice for people going into hospice care.
Long overdue catch-up!
Where do I begin when I haven't posted to this blog in 3 1/2 years? I think I just start over again. So here goes.
We continue to longarm for local charities. Last year we did 185 quilts that were given to various programs in west central Wisconsin. I work with a great group of women who love to quilt and benefit others with their creations.

These are just a few examples of what our quilts looked like in 2015. I hope you enjoy.

Tablerunners

Here are two tablerunners I made this winter (which here in the upper mid-west seems never ending!). The red/green one is a test sample for my designing friend Rhonda to use the pattern in our guild newsletter. It works great in two, three or four colors. The pink one is from a kit I found on a road trip with my husband last October to southwestern WI. We were at a nice shop in Viroqua and I fell in love with the fabrics. The pattern is one of those little cards and I don't remember the name of it. But it used 5" charm squares. I think a different color selection would have worked better, but it is good for summer.
Grandpa's Best

This is a quilt I started in a guild mystery class a few years ago (I really don't remember how long ago it was!). I've always wanted to make a blue/white/yellow quilt and this was my chance. It is lovely and may be a high school graduation gift this spring. The designer is Celine Perkins of Perkins Dry Goods. The quilter is my friend Kathy.

Quilting Catch-up

It's been quite a while since I've posted, but here goes. These HeartStrings quilts are being offered to a family this evening that lost their home to fire a week ago. So far they are staying with friends. Please notice how great these quilts are and how wonderful the longarm quilting is. It's done freehand by Rhonda.
